DescriptionBachmann OO 34-436 Thompson Brake Composite Corridor BR Crimson & Cream
This Thompson coach in BR Crimson & Cream livery was designed by Edward Thompson. These steel clad corridor coaches were originally painted in a simulated teak finish. This livery gave way to the BR Crimson & Cream livery after nationalisation of Britain's Railways in 1948.
The post-war Thompsons were notable for their sleek steel paneled design and comfortable interiors and formed train such as 'The Flying Scotsman' and 'The Elizabethan' in the final days of the LNER and first years of BR. The model features a close coupling mechanism and accessory pack with dummy drop head coupler, vacuum and steam heating pipes and NEM coupler pipes.
