Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept card payments. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept Visa and MasterCard. Pre-ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. |
Shipping And Handling Generally goods are shipped via the Royal Mail first class recorded mail and our couriers, although we reserve the right to use any carrier.

Delivery Schedule We aim to dispatch your order within 24 hours, however this may be longer at busy times. If you need the item urgently please call us and we will do what we can to help. Unless otherwise agreed, items are sent via our courier, Royal Mail First Class Post or Royal Mail Parcels. If your item is urgent please call and we can arrange a quicker delivery service. Please contact us for overseas delivery information.
If you have ordered items that are not in stock we will hold the complete order until the items are back in stock. Please look at the individual items for details of expected delivery times. Should an item take longer to arrive than shown we may part ship the order to you.
You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence. In the case of items sent via Royal Mail, claims can only be investigated 28 days after dispatch and must be made in writing within 40 days of dispatch.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
For items shipped by courier you must notify us if the item does not arrive by the delivery day stated on your dispatch email, failure to do so may result in a further delivery charge being made to your account. Items not accepted will have a return charge applied.

Privacy Policy Model Railways Direct do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Your right of cancellation 1. You have the right to cancel the contract at any time up to 7 days after you receive the goods (see below). Please note that this policy has some limitations and does not apply to business customers. 2 To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give written notice to the Supplier by hand, post or the contact us section of our website, giving details of the goods ordered and (where appropriate) their delivery. Notification by phone is not sufficient. 3 Except in the case of faulty or misdescribed goods, if you exercise your right of cancellation after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to the Supplier at your own cost. The goods must be returned to the address shown within the Contact Us section of the Supplier's website. You must take reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged in the meantime or in transit. 4 Once you have notified the Supplier that you are cancelling the contract, the Supplier will refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods. 5 Except in the case of faulty or misdescribed goods, if you do not return the goods as required, the Supplier may charge you a sum not exceeding the direct costs of recovering the goods. 6 You do not have the right to cancel the contract if the order is for computer software which has been unsealed by you, or for consumable goods which, by their nature, cannot be returned, save where a fault is discovered which could not have been discovered otherwise than by unsealing the goods.

Remittance Terms 1 Payment for the goods and delivery charges can be made by any method shown on the Supplier´s website at the time you place your order. Payment shall be due before the delivery date and time for payment shall be a fundamental term of this agreement, breach of which shall entitle the Supplier to terminate the contract immediately. 2 There will be no delivery until cleared funds are received 3 Payments shall be made by you without any deduction whatsoever unless you have a valid court order requiring an amount equal to such deduction to be paid by the Supplier to you.

 | Delivery Charges Postage within the UK mainland is only £3.99 per order for Royal Mail First Class or £5.50 for our 2 day courier service (within the mainland UK, excludes Northern Ireland).
