The Hornby Virtual Railway 2 CD-ROM has been developed in close collaboration with Hornby's model railway experts. The secret of a successful design program is to combine ease of use with high quality interactive output. Hornby Virtual Railway achieves this and much more.

Implementing the latest Virtual Reality programming technology, it's intuitive interface allows even the novice user to build virtual railway layouts that are superbly realistic.

HVR2 allows you to select a room, decide on the size of baseboard, design the layout, create hills, lakes, mountains, tunnels, then enhance the landscape with buildings, stations, trees and finally choose the trains - then operate the virtual layout before building the real thing!

Planning a model railway layout can be a daunting experience, conjuring up nightmares of graph paper and protractors with the inevitable result that time and money can be lost as well as tempers! But not anymore, the Hornby Virtual Railway 2 not only removes the gamble from planning a layout, but it's fun too!

Working with one of the leading computer simulator programming companies in the UK, Hornby have designed the original HVR into a fully functioned model railway design tool with dynamic graphics, multi train operation and the facility to create dual level railway systems.

The simple but effective program is easy to install and is full of exciting features associated with the world of model railways. As with most PC programs the heart of the system runs from the toolbar located at the top of the screen and the variety of options helps the user to create the layout of their choice.

Some features require GeForce 3 or higher, or Radeon 8500 or higher graphics cards.
