| During Her Majesty’s Golden Jubilee year the Royal Train was used to great effect in transporting Her Majesty the Queen, accompanied by HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh around mainland Britain as part of the royal celebrations.
As yet no plans have been formulated for a similar journey during this Diamond Jubilee year, however should such a tour happen then what better and more appropriate locomotive could be chosen to haul such a regal train than Britannia, resplendent in BR Green and sporting a white roof denoting that the train being pulled has royal patronage. |
