| If the model is to be converted to Digital, both the locomotive and the DVT unit will each require a chip fitting to make this unit fully DCC Fitted, i.e., two locomotive decoders will be required.
In order to provide passenger back up service in case of failures in their Voyager or Pendolino fleet, Virgin Trains invested in a rake of Mk3 coaches and DVT stock so that if breakdowns or the need for an extra service was called for the Virgin Charter Relief Train could be called upon to provide the back up support if needed.
The motive power is provided by EWS which along with the coaching stock is the inspiration of this new Hornby Train Pack. |
| Digital DCC Ready - locomotive has a 8 Pin Decoder Socket to accept locomotive decoder (not included). Locomotive is suitable for traditional DC operation.
