Hornby R2705 Grand Central Trains HST 125 High Speed Train

A new service and a new look! The Grand Central High Speed Trains first started to roll out of the paint shop during the latter half of 2007. Operating a service from the North East of England to London, the High Speed Train units carrying the livery inspired by the icons of American train travel as well as Hollywood of the Fifties, turn admiring heads when either stationary or while powering along the main line.

Note that these units are only suitable for operation on second radius curved track or greater.

Pack contains:
1 HST High Speed Train Power Car
1 HST High Speed Train Dummy Power Car
Coaches are not include in the pack and will need to be purchased separately

The totally new Class 43 High Speed Train HST drive and dummy units are a superb match for the Hornby Mk3 Coaches. Each drive and dummy unit benefits from the latest in design and production techniques with detail features both inside and outside the model being reproduced to the finest degree. The power in the drive unit is supplied by a centrally mounted five pole skew wound motor which is connected to both bogies for maximum tractive effort. Both units have lights which illuminate in the direction of travel when used with analogue control, however, when used with a digital unit these lights can be operated independently.

Please note: Contrary to the instructions included with the new Hornby HST packs and before operating the model, remove both the transit brackets and screws, these items can then be discarded.

Digital DCC Ready - locomotive has a 8 Pin Decoder Socket to accept locomotive decoder (not included). Locomotive is suitable for traditional DC operation.
